Grandparents Visit

Summer wouldn't be complete without a visit from the grandparents. I had a super fun week planned and it was really great. First Nat had to show grandpa her own little water park in the backyard. Now who has a grandpa that would actually do this with a 3 year old? Seriously, girl is lucky.

And grandpa is a trooper. She LOVED it.

Putting in the work gets the rewards though. look at that cuddle.

The second day they were here we went to the Irvine Park Railroad. Found this place one night on the internet. How did I not come across it before? Super fun! First we rode the train.

Hello Miss Conductor.

Then we took a ride on the paddle boat. Nat kept wanting to pedal, so grandpa got real tired holding her while she tried. :)

After that we went over to the zoo. Really small, perfect for a three year old.

And of course we had to take a ride on a surrey. Ha ha i love Nat's face here. She loved it.

The last stop was a pony ride. Yeah, that's right. We did all this stuff in one place! And we did it all for less than $50. What a find. It was a fun day.

The party didn't end there, however. Afterwards we went swimming at a hotel and then spend the next two days at the beach. It was cloudy but not windy so all in all it was pretty nice.

Juan took us to a fun seafood place where they have bibs and all. They just throw down the crab, clams, crawfish, etc right on the table and you dig in. It was great (until Nat threw a fit due to lack of sleep and overstimulation and Juan had to escort her out while I was changing L's diaper in the bathroom). I could hear her screaming all the way across the restaurant. We still don't know exactly what set her off but Juan was mortified. Ha ha welcome to my life. :)

Our last day of fun we went to Raging Waters. Quite expensive just to take Nat down a few slides but oh well. She loved it. I was proud of her for waiting in line and taking turns. She went down this one slide about a million times. And then we went in the lazy river.

Leah even got in on the action. If you look real close you can see that she doesn't look too happy, but she actually fell asleep going around. ha! Water baby.

Thanks G and G for coming down and treating us to a great week. We had a blast!!
