Christmas Festivities

I really thought Nat would be good for her picture with santa, based on her previous holiday pictures (see Halloween). I was wrong.

Ugly sweater party.

Decorating the tree. Here the little trickster is trying to see what mom will do THIS TIME she tries to touch an ornament.

Lake Tahoe

So the week after Vegas and Utah we went to Lake Tahoe! We had lots of fun playing in the snow, sledding (Nat not so much), hot tubbing, playing games and snowboarding!

Here's the view from the state park that was down the road from our condo.

Family

Here's where we went sledding.

Katie and I at Heavenly Ski Resort. The most expensive resort I'll probably ever go to. But it was worth it- close, nice worker people, great/easy lifts and nobody there.

You can see the lake behind us (and Nathan and Chelsea!). I hadn't been snowboarding in like, 7 years and it was a lot of fun.

Thanks Nielsens and Fields for coming with us!

Dland number 2

How many can we fit in before Christmas? Another beautiful day in December.  Here's Nat on the carousel.

It's a small world.

LOVE this pic. Katie is a great photographer. Nat seems to not like the camera flash. It interrupted her dancing.

Hey pretty girls. Boo that we didn't take a group pic before katie left, but i'm sure we'll be back soon.

Vegas and Thanksgiving

The weekend before Thanksgiving we met up w/ my parents in Vegas. We had a great time hanging out! Nat loves g and g.

Here's the two loves of my life after a mega french buffet pig out.

With so much car time I had to come up with lots of ways to keep her happy.

We went to Utah for Thanksgiving and spent it w/ my parents, brother, aunt and cousins. It was such a good trip.

Nat loves turkey. Smart girl.

Nat and gma just chillin after eating lots of food!

Disneyland

I didn't know taking Nat to Dland for the first time would be so much fun. She loved it. She even went on Pirates no problem. Gotta love the weather too. 70's in November.

First train ride. :)

Teacups

 First teacup ride w/ a boy :)

Part of our Dland group. What a cute family.

Just missing snow!

Happy Halloween!

Yes, we did dress Nat up as dracula for Halloween. She'll have plenty of time to be girly the rest of her life. I was so in love with her costume i giggled every time i looked at her.

Juan had a better picture on his phone, but it'll probably take about 5 years for me to get it to the computer.

Hottest day of the year

So what did you do on the hottest day this summer? We went to the beach of course. It was 114 up here and 90 at the beach so it was perfect. The water felt great. Best way to spend a Monday that I can think of.

Nat's so fun at the beach too. She loves playing with a pail full of water and a shovel. And of course chasing the birds.

I have to pay tribute to my new hobby: coupon shopping. I got all this junk for 1.78. Love it.

This next pic is for grandma. Doesn't Nat look so cute in this chair? She told me that's what she wants one for Christmas. ha ha ha!!

Lovely little messes.

Make me so tired.

LA County Fair

The fair this year was tons of fun. I was pretty excited to take Natalie to pet the goats. At first she wasn't really into it. Scary.

But by the end she was all over the place. She even went up to one goat who was sitting down and kicked him as if to say "hey goat. Get up and entertain me." ha ha ha. good thing she doesn't kick very hard.

We also took her on a pony ride. As you can see she wasn't too into this.

What a good looking group.

The rest of the night Nat acted like we fed her 3 deep fried snickers. She was running all over the place like a crazy girl with this grin on her face. Good thing she crashed once we got to the car!

End of Summer

So we've been having a lot of fun these last few months. We went camping at Lake Silverwood w/ Juan's family and their ward. It was fun but I don't think we'll be invited back next year. Nat woke up at like 3 in the morning and cried for a while because her nose was stuffed up. Yikes. My favorite part was sleeping on the blow up mattress with her feet in my face and her bum in Juan's face. Not sure how that happens.

Nat and I also went on a hike w/ some friends to Mt. Rubudioux. It was really pretty. This world needs more paved hikes!

Had to share this one. Isn't it funny how they pick up on every little thing you do?

Reunion

Hello 10 year reunion! I had been looking forward to this since I graduated. Is that nerdy? Don't answer that. It was a great time though. Festivities started out Friday afternoon when Marie, Jon and I met up for lunch. Marie picked a way cute place w/ an awesome view of the canyon. Kelly and her family were in Idaho from Texas as well, and we got to see them on their way back to Boise. (p.s. Kel, tell Jake he looks good in this pic! no faces) :)

Kelly, Marie and I were all roommates first year of college. So great to all get together! I love this pic because how the shadow crosses my teeth makes me look like a pirate.

Next was painting the rock.

Then an informal diner at Gerties. on Saturday there was a picnic for everyone and their kids, and then the main event was that night.

Here's the graduating class of 2000 (well, about a fourth of us anyway). Can you find me?

See you at the 20 year!!

Idaho

Nat and I got the heck out of Dodge for 10 days to go to a bit milder climate in August, Idaho! We had a lot of fun w/ my fam.

First of all, uncle Tim had to put Nat to work unloading the dishwasher.

At the top of our street a guy made a little park in his back yard and g and g took Nat up a few times to play in it. It really is quite the park for a guys back yard. There's cars.

And bunnies and chickens....

And paddle boats...yes, you read correctly.

And Nat's favorite. where she kept returning. swings.

All this playing really is exhausting.

Waterpark

A couple weeks ago Celeste, Marisa, my sis in law and I went to the waterpark in SB. It has a pretty fun kiddie pool, but Nat loved the lazy river most of all. Typically when we hang out, lots of little boys! We love it.

Getting ready to go.

My sis in law Ana and I taking the girls for a spin. I love this blow up toy.

Cousins waiting to play.
