Strike a Pose

Juan was standing there waiting for me, so I had to take his picture. He's so GQ. He asked me last week if I had posted it to our blog, so I think that means he likes it too. Ha ha ha. And for any of you familiar with the powerwheels-torn jeans story, these are the replacement jeans I told Juan he couldn't get. Whatcha gonna do.

Aquarium

On the second day of our anniversary weekend we went to the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach. The weather was sunny and nice, and it was oh so educational. Of course we really liked the shark tank.
And the jellyfish were really cool. I've been stung before and it isn't so fun, but not by one of these babies. I'd probably die of fright before the poison did me in.


I don't know why they have birds at an aquarium, but it was fun walking through the bird cage, or whatever it was called. They fly all over you, and Juan wanted me to take this picture real quick before the bird left a little present on his shirt.

Happy Anniversary

For our anniversary this year I decided to plan a secret weekend getaway for Juan and myself. After work on Friday we got in the car and drove to the Mission Inn. Juan had no idea where we were going until I took the Mission Inn exit. Our friend James works there so he got us a deal, and the room was really cool! Juan had never been there before, so we walked around and took some pictures, and then for dinner we ate at the seafood buffet. Yikes. Good food, but even being pregnant I don't feel like I ate enough! I'm not super fond of this picture below, but it does really show off my huge belly!

2 for 1

This weekend was really fun. On Saturday we went to Amy Mendoza's wedding. We're so happy for her! And we're excited that she's moving into our apartment complex! After the reception, we went to the Stake Sweetheart ball with some of our friends. Juan and I didn't dance for too long, but my legs sure felt it in the morning! I woke up with a wicked leg cramp in my right leg. I can't complain though. That's been about my worst pregnancy symptom so far.


I'm definitely looking pregnant! It was week 22/23 that it seemed to really hit (I am currently in week 24). Here's my glamour shot. For the time being Juan and I can still cuddle up to each other, but I expect that to change pretty soon. My belly's going to push him right out of the picture. I already feel huge. :)
